Hair and Makeup Preparation Guide
For the Parents of Models Ages 5-18 

Before Your Shoot: Essential Preparation

Skincare Preparation

  • -Arrive with clean, freshly moisturized skin (face and body)

  • -Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer

  • -Avoid trying new skincare products 48 hours before the shoot

  • -Important: Please inform us of any skin allergies or sensitivities in advance

Hair Preparation

  • -Wash and dry hair the night before the shoot (if not in protective styling)

  • -Arrive with completely dry, product-free hair

  • -No tight hair accessories that could leave marks or dents

Special Considerations

  • - Provide details about any specific care requirements

  • -If your child has protective styling (braids, twists, etc.):

    -Let us know in advance so we can plan styling accordingly

  • For swimmers:

    • -Avoid chlorinated pools 24 hours before the shoot

    • -Use a clarifying shampoo if swimming is unavoidable

  • If you have active skin irritations or rashes please let us know in advance of the shoot

What to Avoid

  • -Heavy or theatrical makeup

  • Glitter or sparkle products

  • Self-tanner or bronzing products

  • Hair dye or significant style changes close to shoot date

  • Sunburn

  • Our goal is to enhance each child's natural beauty, not to transform features

  • Styling will be appropriate for your child's age and comfort level

Day of Shoot Checklist

✓ Clean, moisturized skin ✓ Dry, clean hair ✓ No residual hair tie marks 

 Additional Notes

Though we will be providing sanitized hair products, styling tools, hair ties and professional makeup for the shoot
You're welcome to bring:Personal hairbrush Favorite hair ties Preferred lip balm or makeup products Any specific products you know work well for you
We want you to feel free to bring any comfort items needed during the shoot
